Orion Application Monitor Module

The Orion Application Monitor can be purchased to extend the monitoring capabilities of Orion to applications and processes on servers. The module enhances Orion’s ability to manage Windows, Unix, and Linux servers by monitoring running processes on these machines, tracking process status, memory usage and processor utilization.

This module can be installed on any server which already has Orion installed. The evaluation version of the module can be installed on either a licensed or evaluation version of Orion.

Monitor Services & Applications

Use the Application Monitor Module to monitor services and applications running on Windows, Linux and Unix servers with the Host Resource MIB enabled. Orion’s user customizable web views show which applications have stopped so that immediate action can be taken. Orion’s web views also provides the ability to group applications by type, server, status, and more.

Monitor Application Performance & Resource Usage

Use the Application Monitor Module to monitor the processor and memory usage of each application and service running on a server. This feature provides the capability to use Orion’s Top 10 Reports Page to display the Top 10 applications and services by processor utilization and memory usage. The application may be running but it may also be consuming 100% of the CPU.

Advanced Server Monitoring

The module enables monitoring of Windows, Linux and Unix servers for availability, response time, packet loss, traffic, errors, CPU load, memory utilization, available disk space, and more. Now, with the Application Monitor Management Module it is possible to drill down on a server that is experiencing high CPU load or memory utilization to see which application or service is causing the problem.

Application & Service Trending

Orion’s historical graphs and reports track trends in application and service performance based on processor load and memory utilization. Compare processor performance this month with last month’s or with this month last year.
