Orion Alerts and Events

Advanced Alerting Engine
Orion includes an Advanced Alerting Engine and a scalable Event Monitor. The alerting engine is capable of sending pager or e-mail alerts based upon hundreds of user configurable thresholds. It’s intuitive user interface allows you to create and configure alerts instantly.
Users can also specify what kind of alerts they want to receive. For example, they can set up correlated alerts (alerting only if X and Y are both true), sustained alerts (alerting only if X is true for Y period of time) and escalated alerts (notify engineer No. 1, but if there’s no response in a specified time period, notify engineer No. 2).
Comprehensive Event Monitor
The event monitor can view events sorted by device name, type and date period. Both the alerting engine and event monitor are searchable from the Web interface.
The Orion event monitor allows you to monitor all of the critical events happening on your network as they take place – in real-time.
The Events page allows you to view all of the network events directly from the Orion website. You can sort and view the events based upon event type, device type, device name, and date/time period.
