The Network Performance Monitor Map Maker has several geographic templates included. An existing network topology map or any image can be used. The Map Maker lets you take this image of a map and place your current network nodes and interfaces on the map. Multiple maps can be linked to allow the ability to drill down.

When a Region is selected, the corresponding map for that region is displayed (second map). The green, yellow, and red dots indicate sites with all nodes available or sites with alerts. The parameters can be adjusted so that a summary indicator changes to an alert condition.

Please note the maps are also associated to the customer’s authorization level. If a specific user is not authorized to view a location or subnet, his map will not go into alert condition if a device outside the scope of authorization fails. Customers only view the portion of the network defined.
