The MAC Address Discovery tool scans the subnet on which you are attached and constructs a table relating IP Addresses to MAC Addresses, DNS, Network Card Manufacturers and Manufacturer Addresses.

The best method of discovering the MAC Addresses for other subnets is to place the SolarWinds tools on a laptop and take the laptop to the remote subnet and plug it in. The results of the MAC Address Discovery can be exported to HTML, Excel, comma delimited or plain text.

For scanning multiple subnets, use the Network Sonar tool.
