The Network Performance Monitor application is a real-time network monitor that can track network latency, packet loss, availability, traffic, bandwidth utilization, CPU load, memory and disk space utilization. It can also monitor each managed node and interface via SNMP to report when a node reboots or an interface goes down. The Network Performance Monitor is also ideal for monitoring the bandwidth utilization and performance of your routers, switches and servers providing online and historical charts of your network performance.

Easy Installation – Does not Require Remote Agents
The Network Performance Monitor does NOT install any remote agents on your network. All monitoring is preformed from a central location whether that be the NOC or an Engineer’s workstation. The Network Performance Monitor can monitor and collect traffic statistics from any device that supports SNMP. Devices that do not support SNMP can also be monitored. Network Latency and Packet Loss can be monitored for any network device, even those that do not support SNMP!
The Network Performance Monitor is ideal for monitoring the bandwidth utilization of your WAN circuits. It is also great for isolating traffic bottlenecks within your network. The advanced graphing utility lets you drill into the results real-time. With the customizable summary screen it is easy to quickly identify high traffic nodes or build customized reports. An extensive customizable alerting system lets you configure Network Alerts on any of over 150 unique network properties!

A Note on Monitoring Limitations
The Network Performance Monitor is capable of monitoring several hundred interfaces. While the application doesn’t have any restrictions on the maximum number of nodes and interfaces that can be monitored, the performance of the OS, database and hardware together result in a practical limitation of around 1,000 interfaces.
