Description
SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor Training is recommended training for individuals seeking knowledge and expertise in areas ranging from day-to-day administration to extended customization and modification of their existing Orion System. This course enables students to utilize the features and functionality of their Orion system to gain maximum advantage of monitoring and managing their network environment. It will enable students to better understand how to analyze the information collected and presented by the Orion System.
Location
Currently the Orion Network Performance Monitor Training is held at two locations, the Crowne Plaza Suites Hotel in Arlington, TX about 8 miles from DFW Airport. Address is as followed: 700 Avenue H East, Arlington TX 76011 or at Corona Technical Services located at 6914 S Yorktown Ave., Tulsa, OK 74136.

Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
- Effectively plan and install an Orion System
- Populate all network segments, nodes, and devices to be monitored by Orion
- Establish appropriate thresholds and filters to best utilize the alarming features that will allow Orion to make the most efficient use of resources
- Administer Orion System features and user access permissions – provide the right information to the right people
- Build and customize network maps and reports
- Additional SolarWinds Toolset overview, demonstration, and integration with Orion
Prerequisites
To fully benefit from this course, learners should have the following prerequisite skills and knowledge:
- Basic router configuration
- Basic switch configuration
- Basic virtual local area network (VLAN) configuration
- Basic Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) configuration
- Basic trunking configuration
- Standard access list configuration

- Customers who have fully implemented their Orion System and want to better utilize its features
- Customers who have recently purchased, or are considering purchasing, an Orion System

- All training courses must PAID IN FULL fourteen (14) business days prior to the training start date.
- Classroom space is reserved only after receiving full payment.
- Course Reservations are granted on an individual student basis. WRITTEN requests for student substitutions are accepted up until two (2) business days prior to the Class Start Date.
- Course may be rescheduled 30 days prior to the training start date.
- Purchased courses are valid for 120 days. After 120 days, the purchaser forfeits the course without refund.
- There are no refunds.
